EFI is the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing. We are searching for a Senior Interaction Designer that can create compelling, intuitive interface solutions for a wide range of EFI products. The Senior Interaction Designer will collaborate with internal teams to create the next generation of EFI products and will be the usability/design liaison to engineering during the implementation process. He/she will be responsible for creating truly expandable and innovative workflows and feature sets for large complex desktop and web applications and will represent the end-users interests by effectively negotiating interactions between engineering, QA and Product Management.

 

· Research and analyze requirements (whether EIS product specific, printing industry or technology related) independently

· Drive functional requirements and analysis decisions with key stakeholders. Create personas, use cases, process and task analysis based on requirements and analysis to facilitate the design process with Product Managers.

· Mock up and prototype quickly and efficiently through an iterative collaborative design process with key stakeholders. Lead and drive this portion of the design process when assigned.

· Design user friendly interfaces (Functional, Conceptual, Interaction or Visual design) and create associated mockups, wireframes, prototypes, process flows, style guides, specification documents, graphics, icons, html, CSS, JavaScript

· Contribute to a consistent common unified user experience across the APPS product suite thru the standardization of nomenclature, workflow, interactions, controls, JavaScript controls, or otherwise

· Execute usability standards and design best practices across the APPS product suite; examples include but are not limited to Heuristic evaluations, Contextual Inquiry, Card sorting, Think Aloud usability testing, etc.

· Present and manage designs, prototypes, and deliverables throughout engineering and design processes.

 

Main Qualifications:

· Impeccable analytical and problem solving skills.

· Complex E-commerce interaction design

· Rapid prototyping skills (.NET, Paper, PowerPoint, Visio, Dreamweaver, or Flash) and an iterative team oriented design processes.

· Passion for information architecture, usability, interaction design, and visual design.

· 5+ years experience in software application design or complex web interaction design.

· 2+ years experience working directly with engineers during product implementation.

· BS or BA degree in Product Design, Human Factors, HCI, or similar (or equivalent experience).

· Mastery of Photoshop, Visio. Strong visual design or IA skills.
