The Senior Product Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the marketing group for the Amplifiers High Speed Business Unit. Chief responsibilities include market selection and product definition through market analysis and rigorous business plans resulting in a higher product adoption rate, higher revenue per product, and market share growth in target markets.
The Product Marketing role emphasizes the activities of phases 0-7 of the new product phase review system beginning with a detailed market analysis defining the market segment, conducting competitive analysis, formulating NSCs business case with the value proposition, and a go to market plan. The Product Marketing professional responsibility includes the preliminary product proposal with market, customer, competitor, and technology assumptions resulting in the new product decision. This position is responsible for the development of a detailed business case, outlining risks and development team timelines, with regular updates of the business case assumptions. Additional responsibilities include, development of an overall launch plan that supports the targeted markets and customers identified in the business case. Assignments include duties associated with product adoption within desired markets and customers base. This would include customer selection, pricing strategies, support of design win activity, and lifecycle management.
Responsible for developing business plans, marketing strategy and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products. Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives. Provides technical consultation to field personnel and customers about new and existing products. Provides product consultation to research and development in the design stage of products. Participates in new product selection process, helps to prepare the AOP, launching new products, and may be responsible for sales and profit in designated areas. Plans, prepares, and presents product introduction strategies. Always looks to improve work, products, functions, and processes through on-going analysis. Communicates and shares new information, learnings, and methods with cross-functional team members to achieve organizational goals. This position often requires extensive travel to work directly with customers.
Manages the activities of the Amplifiers High Speed Business Unit Marketing Department. Sets goals, establishes priorities, assigns tasks, monitors and evaluates results. Determines budgets and prepares forecasts. Promotes strategies to team development and working relationships. Works with general guidance/objectives established by senior management. Independently determines the best approach for achieving results. Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of data, technology or situations requires an evaluation of intangible factors. Exercises high degree of judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Participates with other senior managers to develop strategic plans and goals. Makes final decisions on operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives. Decisions have significant impact on achievement of goals which are critical to the success of an important business area. Leads and mentors professional/management staff.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements are: 10 years with BS or equivalent; 9 years with MS or equivalent; 7 years with Ph.D. or equivalent.Job Level: Manager
