Senior Hardware Designer / PCB Designer

 

Dallas, Texas (prefer local Dallas/Fort Worth candidates - no relocation available)

 

Our Client has an opening for a Senior Hardware Designer with PCB layout expertise.  As a member of a talented design team, you will design and layout PCBs used to verify and demonstrate the functionality of microcontrollers both as generic products and embedded in dedicated application systems.  The work environment is energetic and challenging and an ideal place for a motivated self starter.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to perform schematic design and PCB layout for both digital and analog designs.

 

We need someone whose primary focus has been board design and layout, and who can understand the constraints that should be applied to create efficient, quiet PCB layouts.  Someone who has done LOTs of boards, is familiar with and comfortable searching for and deciding on the right piece parts and connectors for the job.  Self motivated, takes pride in their work, and needs minimal direction.

 

Requirements:

 

n  Must have proficiency and current experience designing digital and analog board schematics

n  Must have proficiency and current experience performing PCB layout of board designs with 2-8 layers

n  Must have a working knowledge of techniques used to reduce noise in analog circuits.

n  Must have proficiency and current experience with simulation tools (Cadence preferred)

n  Must have proficiency and current experience with tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.  Experience with Orcad Capture or Cadence Design Entry CIS and Cadence PCB layout tools is preferred

n  BSEE or equivalent experience
