Will  conduct TCAD in integrating of novel materials to the MOSFET and other devices. Will work with silicon materials and thin film team to quantify strain related carrier mobility enhancement in materials such as SiGe/Si or e-Si and film stress and dopant diffusion in the film. Will perform finite element analysis of strained thin films, such as SiGe/Si and BPSG/TiW/Ti/Si. Need to work with different silicon vendors in conducting silicon wafer quality control.  This includes the impact of defect on device leakage, impacts of impurities and defects on recombination life times, and impact of strain and interstitial oxygen on dopant diffusion. Stress, Strain, roughness analyses, Need to be constantly working on new technologies to improve device performance/cost ratio.   Self-motivated and curiosity are the most important things.  Good understanding of defects in semiconductor materials and hetero-structure related defects. Sound knowledge of solid state physics and materials science.  Materials Characterization and CVD process.  Know well VLSI technology and need work with different groups on optimization of device performance. Good skill in computer programming and Materials characterization (TEM/SEM, SIMS, and XPS).  Good technical writing skill and presentation skill, Good skill in communication. If MS degree (rather than PhD) must have at least three years of directly relevant work experience.   PhD in Materials Science, Engineering or related technical field.  logET();PauseFooter(false);
