Senior Product Engineer

Job Responsibilities: Schneider Electric/Square D Company a leader in the production and distribution of electrical control products has an immediate opportunity for an automation and motor control specialist at its Seneca South Carolina location. This product specialist position will report to the product marketing manager for low voltage motor control centers. Defining product requirements and managing the product life cycle are the core responsibilities of product marketing. Anticipating customers' needs, developing product roadmaps and specifications, executing product development activity and supporting the field sales organization are principal activities. This includes presentation development, joint sales calls, trade shows and literature development. Product specialists also participate on cross functional teams to develop and introduce new products to the market. Coordination with teams in Canada, Mexico and outside North America is involved.Qualifications desired: • A minimum of 3 years related experience• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering • A strong technical background• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• The ability to work as a part of a cross functional team • Knowledge of power and control components as well as automation and communications networks including Modbus, Ethernet, DeviceNet and Profibus is highly desirable. • Knowledge of foreign languages including French and Spanish are positives.Seneca South Carolina is located an hour south of the Greenville/Spartanburg airport on I-85 and minutes from Clemson University.
