Senior QA Engineer / QUAL1275

Position Description:Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and and/or external specifications and standards, and also meet applicable government regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.Directly involve in all quality related activities in final process (back end) area. Enforce quality assurance protocols for in-process and out-going materials. Ensure continuous improvement in quality for the final process area. Ensure that established manufacturing quality support documents and associated statistical process control procedures are properly followed. Support & monitor assembly incoming quality & customer return. Investigate root cause of failure, and implement proper corrective actions. Perform final process periodic audit to evaluate to compliance to requirements.Qualifications:BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Knowledge of ISO-9001, TS16949, 14001 and QS9000 quality systems is desired, Knowledge of semiconductor GaAs wafer processing, working knowledge of SPC and DOE, Experience & understanding in Six Sigma Methodologies, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiment, Measurement System Analysis, FMEAs and Control Plan, MpCpS, 8D Problem Solving is required.
