Senior Sales Rep - Govt Sales (Projector Group)
Panasonic Projector Systems Company (PJSC) is a prominent supplier of projectors and presentation systems in the United States. It is a unit of Panasonic Corporation of North America, the principal North American subsidiary of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. of Japan, and the hub of its U.S. marketing, sales, service and R&D operations. Currently, the Panasonic Projector Systems Company (PJSC) is seeking to hire a full time Vertical Market Sales Manager for Government accounts based out of the Washington, DC area.BASIC FUNCTION:Selling to End Users. Creating End-User demand and growing the revenue base in the assigned strategic vertical market sectors identified by the company. ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Selling/Account Mgmt./Customer Service a. Develop and build sales plan for projectors, particularly DLP in the government market, focus on Federal b. Develop, build, and educate end user as to value, versatility and support Panasonic offers in any application, and market, any venuec. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that leverage Panasonic DLP projectors as the ?MUST HAVE? product for the corporate userd. Develop quarterly sales and marketing plan that offers a ?TAILOR MADE? solution to the End user incorporating strategic products and third party software or hardware e. Attain minimum of 100% of assigned sales quotaf. Promote new and key DLP products to this customer base through demonstrations and presentationsg. Maintain records of customer information & performance. Establish goals and track performance to objectives h. Manage customer service issues to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention2. Prospect Development a. Develop & identify new end user opportunities through prospecting and key end user calls and demos to meet the company objectives of pipeline developmentb. Work with end users as much as possible to help develop this new businessc. Maintain data base of calls to prospects for future use and communications, through ERM Softwared. Establish relationships with PJSC ?Synergy Partners? to expand sales reach and prospect base3. Planning Administration a. Provide timely, accurate & complete sales reports and forecasts. Attend required sales conference callsb. Give thorough market feedback to managementc. Plan activities, agendas, programs with achieving business budget always in mindd. Give high attention to the plan numbers, current and projected performance to that plan4. Product Knowledge a. Maintain a high level of product technical knowledgeb. Maintain a high level of competitive product awarenessc. Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge in the specific needs of the company focused vertical market sectorsd. Stay with changes in technologies and communicate this knowledge on to your end users/customersMANAGEMENT: Managing all aspects of the end user business with Panasonic, concisely and professionally and ensure that the territory has the optimum number of capable authorized resellers and partners to maximize the revenue opportunities in the territory.PROBLEM-SOLVING/KNOW HOW:Exercising judgment in presenting and selling the best product to the customer to solve their problem or get their job done. Ability to work through technology and service related problems. Effectively navigate the internal organization to resolve issues and customer requirements. Professionalism a must. COMMUNICATION:This is the key ingredient for success in this position. Must constantly communicate with customers, dealers, management, and internal personnel in a very clear and positive manner. This requires very professional conversation, presentation, and problem solving skills.
