Be able to read blueprint and fabricate parts to the proper specifications. Be able to perform self-inspection and checks to ensure quality standards are maintained. Must have basic sheet metal tools needed to perform job duties of a class A sheet metal mechanic (calipers, squares, protractors, etc.). Ability to effectively work and communicate with team members. Must be able and willing to follow verbal and written instructions of supervisors. Have 6 years minimum experience in precision sheet metal fabrication. Plans, lays out, and fabricates precision sheet metal parts and weldments, utilizing knowledge of materials, machinery and equipment; Reads and interprets Work Orders, Routers, blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication; Selects gauge and type of sheet metal, such as paint lock, cold roll steel, aluminum, or nonmetallic material, such as plastics or fiberglass, according to Work Order and Router; Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material, using scribers, dividers, squares, and rulers, applying knowledge of shop mathematics and layout techniques to develop and trace patterns of product or parts; Sets up and operates sheet metal fabrication equipment necessary to perform specified operation; Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothes surfaces of prototype sheet metal parts, using hand tools and portable power tools; Inspects precision sheet metal parts and weldments for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, scales, dial indicators, gauges, and micrometers; Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations About Ultimate Staffing Want to work with people who care about your personal and professional growth?
