Six Sigma Black Belt Leader

BI Technologies, a leading global supplier of electronic components, is recruiting for a high caliber individual who will develop, execute and sustain effective process improvements that drive process and productivity improvements utilizing Six Sigma methodologies at BI Technologies Fullerton, Mexicali and other TT Electronics sites.  This position serves as a change agent by driving the required cultural changes and the adoption of successful Six Sigma process improvement practices.

POSITION DUTIES/ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:  Assist with identification of potential improvement projects and gather information on the current situation to provide a clear focus for the improvement effort.Plan, organize, motivate, communicate information, train employees and lead implementation of Six Sigma systems.  Train, certify and mentor employees at yellow, green and black belt levels.Coordinate with various department managers, teams and personnel locally and throughout the company.Create project charter to define the projects purpose and scope and customers needs and requirements.
Provides leadership and partners with process owners and cross functional team(s) to establish and guide the project team. Provide guidance on Six Sigma problem solving techniques and project management leadership to bring projects to completion Deliver annual productivity savings through personal projects or those directly mentoredReport on findings and results and establish metrics and controls so that progress is sustained and assure that comprehensive, timely and lasting project solutions are established

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:  Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification. Bachelor's degree in life science, statistics or engineering field. At least 7 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing environment with a track record of financial savings in operations and business process improvement. Strong leadership and visionary skills and a good business sense with a demonstrated ability to lead the organization through change, preferably across sites and globally. Proven experience establishing or maintaining a Six Sigma program, facilitating Six Sigma projects and mentoring teams on the use of Six Sigma tools. Demonstrated ability to negotiate agreements across functional and business unit boundaries at the company level. Project management skills including oversight of project team, resource identification, budgets, scheduling and planning. Solid analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of problem solving, root cause analysis and associated solution implementation. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; must be able to synthesize complex statistical data into succinct reports and present to both technical & non-technical audiences. Ability to travel internationally and domestically
