Position Description:

SoC verification and RTL engineerJob Description: o Lead silicon development in RTL coding and verification of networking and communications SoC’s.o Work with SoC architect and system group to develop the next generation leading communications and networking SOC which provides the best solution after considering tradeoffs around technical design specifications/features, power consumption, silicon cost, and schedules.o Conduct thorough and detailed verification for maximal coverage to ensure first-time working silicon according to system and SoC architecture specifications. o Develop RTL code for best performance, power consumption, processing bandwidth, bus bandwidth etc. o Provide effective, meaningful, precise, and clear documentation on RTL coding and verification plan to the engineering community & peers.o Follow through on process.Required Skills: Expert in Cadence, Synopsys, or Magma verification and synthesis tools.

Qualifications:

Required Education:BSEE with 8+ years of IC design experience, MSEE with 5+ years experience, or Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience.Required Experience:o Possesses strong demonstrated experience in synthesis and verification of SoC’s for highly complex chips for communications/network IC’s such as WLAN BB/MAC, MoCA BB/MAC, cable modems, and terrestrial TV receivers.o Must have a methodical approach to problem solving, a proven track-record of listening to different inputs; formulating solutions in conjunction with marketing and other engineering teams; a track record in execution to the requirements; and converting high level architectures into RTL and verify with high coverage.o Strong communication skills are essential to this job both for communicating with all other teams involved and also for thorough documentation and code writing style.o Individuals who are motivated and take the initiative and can work individually or as a member of a larger group are preferred.Keywords: SoC verification engineer, SoC RTL engineer.
