Software Engineer - Embedded (GPS) - Silicon Valley

Job Description
Candidate responsible for the design, development, and test of real time embedded software within a very dynamic small group setting. Will work closely with other software, hardware, and ASIC design engineers involved with research and development of highly sensitive market driven wireless-assisted Global Positioning System (GPS) location technology.

Skills/Experience
Must be a motivated team player who is capable of contributing at all technical levels
Knowledge of C programming on embedded microprocessor systems and experience with medium to large-scale systems that run under a real time OS required
The applicant should possess a detailed understanding of intertask communication, task priorities, interrupts and HW constraints as applicable to such an environment

Additional Skills
Other important strengths and/or experience:
Knowledge of GPS and DSP technologies
Experience with ARM processor cores
Familiarity with 2nd and 3rd generation wireless technologies
Excellent written and verbal skills are required, as is the ability to communicate and work effectively with engineers both inside and outside the company

Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree minimum in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; Master's Degree preferred.
