Software Engineer - Laser Products Specialist Skills Required: Software Engineer, Laser Products, Optics, Visual Basic, Visual C++, .NET, UV/CO2 Lasers, AOM's, DOE's Job Description: Software Engineer - Laser Products Control Programming SpecialistWhat you will be doing: * Lead the development and management of software utilized for laser based production equipment * Transition software development from external 3rd party development firm to in-house * Assist with the overall machine and system design and improvement efforts * Lead portions of machine development and testing efforts * Provide applications and troubleshooting support to customers * Provide assistance and troubleshooting support to production department * Assist with testing of new technologies and applicationsWhat you will need: * BS in Software, Electronics, Laser or Optics * 3+ years of experience working with in the areas of lasers, optics and software * Good knowledge of laser optics and understand optical alignments * Strong knowledge of software development and management * Strong knowledge of the following software languages: Visual Basic, Visual C++ & .NET. * Experience with lasers preferably in the UV wavelengths and or CO2 wavelengths * Understand the broad principles of AOM's, DOE's collimators and other common optical devices * Experienced in equipment design, development and production * Possess a working knowledge of electronics * Able to read and understand electrical schematics * Able to understand mechanical drawings * Windows PC familiarity is a must * Self starter and self motivator, able to achieve established goals with limited supervision * Good communication skills, well organized, strong system perspective * Strong team player able to work with Engineering team and other parts of the organizationWhat's in it for you: * Great Company and Team * Competitive compensation * Benefits including medical, dental, vision * 401k planSo...If you have 3+ yrs. experience of control programming with Laser and/or Optics Products and want to work for a great company we want to hear from you!
