Software Engineer Sr Staff

Seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to design PC and handheld applications and drivers to interface to embedded sensing and control products. Involvement from initial product conception all the way through to production ramp. Current product portfolio is targeted at non-invasive industrial and commercial sensing and control applications. Cypress Systems is a young, securely funded, rapidly growing company, so there is a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on the product design and definition, as well as the overall success of the company. The position requires complete ownership of the software associated with each product, and requires close collaboration with a team of engineers (firmware, software, electrical, and mechanical), as well as marketing and sales. Software tasks will include architecture and implementation of user GUIs, dashboards, USB drivers, networking, algorithms (security, image processing, etc.), interfacing to various specialized wired and wireless communication protocols.

Background in PC applications and drivers that interface to embedded systems. 5+ years of post-college experience in C and C++ programming required. Working knowledge of COM, DCOM, IIS, ActiveX, .NET 2005, MSSQL and Web services is required. Experience with WinCE, Windows Mobile, USB, Ethernet, wireless, and other communication systems and protocols is desired. Must be able to handle multiple parallel tasks, including developing WinCE applications, writing SQL queries, implementing web services, and testing software applications. Familiarity with data acquisition systems, process control, or industrial automation is a plus Excellent communication and documentation skills. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum education required is a B.S. in Software, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
