Job Title:  Solar Equipment Project Manager

 

Job Type: Direct Hire 

Reports to (Title):  Director of Corporate Engineering

Compensation Range:  75k-110k  

Other Compensation:  Up front stock options, Annual bonus of 20% based on company goals, Full insurance coverage, and excellent 401k with 50% match up to 8% of employee contribution

 

Position Location:  Perrysburg, OH

Hours of Work:  M-F and overtime as needed 

% Travel: Up to 50% international travel - Expected travel in Europe and Asia for extended periods of 5-10 weeks at a time depending on the project.Expect to be home for 3 to 4 months between projects.

     

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Will have to supervise the installation of capital equipment teams while at new manufacturing locations worldwide.  Size of teams varies depending on location

Oversee the process of equipment acquisition, fabrication, installation, start-up and transition into production. Responsibilities include; schedule, budget, and vendor management of specific equipment to be replicated at new manufacturing facilities. Specific knowledge required in project management principles and practice along with a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems for highly automated production equipment.

 

 

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: Responsible for complete process of replicating capital equipment expansion during factory expansions Manage critical timelines and schedules while constantly working to improve lead times Manage capital equipment budgets in excess of $1,000,000 Responsible for interfacing with other companies, suppliers/vendors, and customers Must work to effectively create good communication between teams and lead be example and team building Must make safety and good housekeeping principles a top priority

 

Qualifications/Background Required:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1.  5+ years of large scale project management experience

2.  5+ years in capital equipment procurement handling entire process from installation to production

3.  Must have domestic and international project management experience with capital budgets in excess of $1,000,000

4.  Installation management of optics, lasers, PLC, and precision alignment systems is highly desirable

5.  BS in Engineering discipline is required

 

Specific Tool/Process Experience Required:Experience with Vacuum Technology/Thin films highly desirable Must have large scale capital equipment project management experience

 

Physical Requirements:Must be able to handle international travel on a regular basis Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 50 lbs Must be willing, as the Project Manager, to get hands dirty when necessary

 

Other Desired Qualifications:Leadership ability is number one.  Must be able to mentor, teach and lead international teams to achieve desired results Ability to handle stressful environments and situations Entrepreneurial Attitude with desire to achieve objectives ahead of schedule Experience with international semiconductor equipment installations is a huge plus

 

Education/Experience:BS in Engineering discipline is required Large scale equipment installation projects with large capital budget management

 

Language Ability:

Must be capable to read and understand schematics, blueprints and other technical drawings.  Ability to work with CAD is a plus.  Also, must be able to communicate with all levels within an organization from technicians to C-level management.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to make quick, rational, and sound decisions is essential.  Must be able to handle deadlines and work well under pressure.

 

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Etc.
