Sr. CAD Engineer (Parasitic Extraction)

In this highly visible role as a senior level team member in our advanced CAD Group, you will utilize your hands on experience in parasitic extraction to develop/define extraction and simulation methodologies at the transistor and gate level. These flows will be utilized by Design Engineers to develop advanced technology that ultimately is being utilized for numerous devices in the market place (USB Flash Drives, Solid State Devices, Memory Cards and Flash Cards for multiple applications and mobile devices such as the Apple iPod, etc).  As a Sr. CAD Engineer at Micron in San Jose, California, your primary responsibilities will include assuming ownership of StarRC extraction flow, as well as reviewing, revamping/rewriting and streamlining the flow to fix any problems that may arise. You will work cross functionally w/ Design and Verification Engineers on their requirements for post layout data, as well as investigation of post layout analysis tools to enhance coverage. Successful candidates for this position will have A minimum of 8+ years of direct CAD and extraction experience.  Experience in simulation tools and how they interact with parasitic extraction data, as well as demonstrated ability to create quick solutions in order to keep design environments productive while working to find permanent solutions. Working knowledge of Layout Tools, extraction tools (StarRCXT preferred), verification tools (such as Hercules) and simulation tools (UltraSim, FineSim, Hsim, Hspice, NanoSim, etc).
