Sr. CAD Engineer - Physical Design

Located in: San Jose, CA 95101 As a Senior CAD Engineer - Physical Design at Micron's San Jose, California site, you will be part of the CAD team responsible for the NAND chip integration as well as the embedded controller. At Micron, a global leader in memory solutions, we produce some of the most technologically advanced NAND-Flash memory.  In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of  physical implementation from netlists to GDS, including chip floor plan, power grid design, clock distribution, full chip assembly, place and route, cross talk analysis, EM/IR drop analysis, timing closure, physical verification (DRC, LVS, ERC, Antenna), and tapeout. In addition, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate and integrate tools for the NAND-Flash memory design flow and methodology.  You will also develop and customize scripts and programs to enhance our physical design automation environment. Successful candidates for this position will have 7+ years of direct experience in custom IC CAD with a primary focus in chip integration, timing closure and tool development.In addition, candidates must have a proven track-record using Cadence Design Framework, Cadence Encounter, Prime-Time as well as Design Compiler.Proficiency in tool development using Perl and TCL is required.  Experience with Python, SKILL and background in Object Orient programming is highly desirable. Education:BS or MS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required.
