Sr. Engineer - SAP Basis

· Amkor Technology is currently looking for a Sr. Engineer with SAP Basis background for our Chandler, AZ office. The primary function of this position is to be responsible for all aspects of design, engineering, implementation, administration, performance, security, networking, and documentation with relation to SAP environments at the data center level.  Major responsibilities include:

o  Provide world class internal and external customer support.

o  Premise work under standardization and best practice guidelines

o  Design, develop, implement and test Enterprise disaster recovery procedures

o  Follow, establish, and devise security process/controls

o  Adhere to, author, edit, and review documentation – policies/procedures/change management

o  Multi-task and coordinate/negotiate time, people, vendors, hardware and application availability

o  Monitor/Identify Enterprise performance indicators & Gather metrics to ensure SLA compliance

o  Troubleshoot, diagnose, recommend and implement workable, realistic solutions

o  Develop new methods and processes contributing to automation

o  Conduct miscellaneous audits and inventories

o  Complete independent projects inline with strategic business objectives as approved

o  Perform day-to-day SAP systems administration functions

o  Train and mentor with peers and associates

o  Weekend and off hours as required

o  Complete other duties as delegated

 

Requirements

· This position requires a Bachelor’s of Science degree in computer related field and 4 years experience in SAP Basis with new dimensional SAP NetWeaver products particularly Enterprise Portal 5+ with specific focus upon the following areas of expertise:

o  BW / SRM / XI  (preferably experience in a t least 1 of these other areas)

o  Enterprise Portal Administration and Customization

o  AD / LDAP Integration

o  Portal application development /deployment

o  J2EE Engine

o  Web Dynpro

o  SOX audits and requirements

o  Storage management/backup and recovery

o  Data archiving

o  Transport Management System

o  Application of OSS Notes / Patching

o  Troubleshooting R/3 and ECC modules FI/CO/MMS/SD/PP

o  Application Link Enabling

o  Printer Administration

o  Batch Administration

o  SAP Client/Server Upgrades

o  Monitoring/Performance Tuning

o  ABAP Concepts

o  Project Management

o  Ideal candidate will also have experience with SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Tools, UNIX/Solaris 8+, Oracle Database 9+, Compliance softwares such as Virsa, PCI, or Approva, experience with EAI, ALE, EDI, IDOC, and network attached storage

This position requires 10% domestic and 5% international travel.
