Sr. Magnetics Design Engineer Cooper Bussmann, a division of Fortune 500 Company Cooper Industries and the world’s leading manufacturer of circuit protection devices has an opportunity at our Dublin, California design center for an experienced Magnetics Engineer.   Cooper Bussmann is an international profit center of Cooper Industries serving the electrical low voltage power fuse and power semiconductor fuse, electronic fuse, automotive fuse, military fuse, contractor and consumer fuse markets as the world's largest manufacturer of fuseable safety devices.   Job Description:   This professional level position independently applies engineering techniques using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specified objectives with instructions about complex features and possible solutions. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems. May supervise or coordinate the work of technicians.   ·  Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications of the standard engineering practices to complete new product or cost reduction projects. ·  Routinely provides solutions or answers questions about existing product performance when issues arise.  ·  Develops selected new products, product line extensions, or cost reduced product designs. Assignments have clearly defined objectives and assistance is provided for very complex problems. ·  Provides technical support for manufacturing and customers.   Plans and drives projects to conclusion meeting performance and cost objectives in a timely fashion, prepares print and specification package for final approval.     Job Requirements:   ·  B.S. degree or above in electrical engineering and application electronics or related fields ·  5 years above magnetics (Power, LAN, Telecom or RF) design experience ·  Familiar with state of the art power electronics topologies ·  Ability to work independently and provide technical supervision to lower level engineers ·  Design experience using FEA software (ANSOFT, ANSYS, FLUX2D/3D and etc), Mathcad and Pspice or similar analysis tools preferred ·  Manufacturing background preferred ·  Experience with AutoCAD desired ·  Good English communication and presentation skills Job Requirements:   ·  B.S. degree or above in electrical engineering and application electronics or related fields ·  5 years above magnetics (Power, LAN, Telecom or RF) design experience ·  Familiar with state of the art power electronics topologies ·  Ability to work independently and provide technical supervision to lower level engineers ·  Design experience using FEA software (ANSOFT, ANSYS, FLUX2D/3D and etc), Mathcad and Pspice or similar analysis tools preferred ·  Manufacturing background preferred ·  Experience with AutoCAD desired ·  Good English communication and presentation skills Cooper Bussmann enjoys a solid reputation in our industry and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
