Sr. Manager of Learning and Development
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, we are seeking a Sr. Manager of Global Learning and Development to set the vision, design, lead and implement learning and development strategy and programs that meet business needs, achieve company goals and maximize employee contributions. Based in Tinley Park, IL a suburb of Chicago, look for our new environmentally friendly corporate headquarters to be opened in Spring 2009. Responsibilities:· Partner with senior management and department leaders across the organization to understand business needs and develop relevant training to support strategic business objectives.· Set the direction for the global design, development and execution of learning and development strategy, which includes innovative programs and tools and processes that enable managers to identify, develop and retain talent.· Oversee needs assessment, design, development and deployment phases of learning solutions.· Develop best practices and drive benchmarking activities.· Identify critical areas for process improvement.· Measure the ROI of learning programs.· Provide consultation for high-level organizational design and change management efforts.· Manage a team of 10+ learning and development professionals including facilitators, instructional designers and technical developers.· Champion learning and development and knowledge management throughout the organization. Requirements:· BA/BS degree required. Master degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development or Instructional Design preferred.· 12+ years of progressive experience in Learning and Development leadership roles.· Proven development and execution of programs such as talent management, succession planning, leadership development, competency management, training effectiveness and change management, highly desired.· Strong influencing skills with the ability to navigate the climate and act as a change agent.· Travel 20% including international trips.
