Summary:We are a small, innovative group of IS professionals looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join us. Our unique team administers the Oracle technology stack (database, Application Server, Portal, OID, BI-EE, and developer tools) and leverages this technology to gain full value for our company. We build and maintain custom applications and support purchased infrastructure applications (job control schedulers, ad-hoc query tools and report writers) utilized by our application group. Accountabilities:' Ensuring the quality, consistency and security of company data and database systems ' Performing database upgrades, installing RDBMS patches and trouble shooting Oracle database issues.' Backup and recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, and security for production and development Oracle databases.' Sharing a 24/7 on-call rotation with other team members.' Working on a variety of development and maintenance projects in coordination with application groups.' Evaluating and recommending upgrades and new database tools and technologies as appropriate for the enterprise. Qualifications:' 6 to 7 years working as an Oracle DBA (RDBMS 9i, 10g) in a UNIX (AIX prefered) environment running business critical applications.' Broad experience with Oracle technologies ' RDBMS, Application Server, Internet Developer, relational database design, and PlSql.' Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ' Project management experience highly desired.' Must be a strong team player able to work closely with other DBAs and team members.'
