Sr. RF Hardware Design Engineer / 08-09543

Position Description:Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of 3G and 4G high-speed mobile technologies. Broadcom offers a family of HSPA (High-Speed Packet Access), WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple-Access), EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution), GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) baseband processors for use in cellular handsets, PC modem cards and other wireless-enabled consumer products. We are actively seeking experienced RF Design Engineers who will be responsible for development of Broadcom next generation mobile phone reference design including prototyping, debugging and verification of RF performances and certification of 3GPP compliance tests for 2G/3G handsets. You must be able to develop an in-depth working knowledge of the GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA and HSPA Broadcom bseband chips. Qualifications:-BSEE and 9+ years related technical experience or an MSEE and 6+ years related technical experience.- 3+ years experience with design, analysis and troubleshooting RF in cellular products or other wireless consumer products.- Experience with cellular communication test equipment such as Agilent 8960, R&S CMU200, Spectrum Analyzer and Logic Analyzer is required.- Hands-on experience with GSM/GPRS/EDGE and CDMA standards is strongly preferred.- Good verbal and written communication skills.- Experience working with customers is a plus.- Occasional travel required to international and US customer sites.
