Sr. Staff Device Engineer

Job Description:

 

As Senior Staff Device Engineer in the RF CMOS Technology group, characterizing and developing

deep-submicron UltraCMOS™ Silicon-on-Sapphire technology. Main responsibilities are: lead

development of new active and passive devices for RF CMOS technology; perform DC/AC/RF

device characterization and standardize analysis techniques for UltraCMOS technology; develop

test-chips for technology validation using internal fab and external foundries; define and drive

electrical specifications of new technologies; maintain electrical specifications for released

technologies. Work closely with foundry engineers to validate silicon electrical performance of

external foundries. Perform TCAD simulation to support the research and development of next

generation Silicon-on-Sapphire technology.

 

Qualifications:

·  MS with minimum of 8 years experience in semiconductor industry, PhD preferred.

·  In depth understanding of semiconductor device physics, particular SOl type devices.

·  Familiar with CMOS processes, RF device characterization and IC design.

·  Good data analysis, problem solving, and communication skills. 

 

Preferred skills:

·  Familiar with Cadence Layout tools, Assura DRC/LVS.

·  Familiar with DC/AC/RF device characterization equipment (HP4156 parametric analyzer, LCR

meter, oscilloscope, vector network analyzers) and probe-station.

·  Experience with TCAD 20/30 process and device simulation tools.

·  Proficient in Matlab or C++ and experience with the Microsoft Office programs.

·  Preferred if have previous intern/working experience in semiconductor industry.
