Position Description:Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of 3G and 4G high-speed mobile technologies. As part of the CellAirity™ Mobile Platform, Broadcom offers a family of HSPA, WCDMA, EDGE, GPRS and GSM baseband processors for use in cellular handsets, PC cards and other wireless-enabled consumer electronics.In this role, your primary job responsibility will be to work on enhancement of the C platform for the for system algorithm development and HW verifications. You will work with system engineers to architect the platform, implement BS and UE receiver functions. Other responsibility is to support FW and HW team on WCDMA/HSPA TX related issues.In-depth knowledge in Audio signal processing and hand-on experience in real-time audio control and FW codes is a plus.Qualifications:Typically requires a BS degree and 9 years of experience, an MS degree and 6 years of experience or a PhD and 3 years of experience.Knowledge in WCDMA RequiredKnowledge in C & C++ is required, system C is a big plus.Experience with Physical layer designs and advanced algorithms for improving system performance is required.Experience with MIMO/OFDM overall system design in particular is preferred. Knowledge of algorithms for channel estimation, techniques in equalizer designs, receiver diversity, RF filters, etc. is desired.Familiarity with DSP preferred, as is experience with lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc. Audio processing is a plus.
