Watchfire Signs is a dynamic, exciting place to work, with a history of steady growth and a clear growth plan ahead. Our accounting team is currently 7 members -- large enough for mobility, but small enough so each team member is cross trained and involved in multiple areas of accounting.

 

The general ledger staff accountant will utilize his/her required Bachelors of Accounting or Finance and at least 2 years experience as an accountant to assist the controller with all levels of general ledger duties including closings, financial analysis, cash flow statements and more.

 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about accounting, top of their class, and looking for a clear career path with growth and management potential.

Responsibilities Include: Coordinate month end and year end closing; Prepare and review journal entries; Coordinate the monthly and quarterly balance sheet review process; Prepare income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow for management; Prepare financial commentary; Prepare financial analysis as required by management; Coordinate and prepare annual budgets; Prepare and distribute monthly variance analysis; Track and report on capital expenditures; Maintain fixed assets and depreciation; Coordinate capital requisition process.

Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting Required; Minimum 2 years full time work experience as accountant after graduation, ideally with growing level of responsibility; Supervisory/team leader/training experience ideal; Prior experience with general ledger duties, analysis or capital requisition processing helpful; Strong analysis and written communication skills required.
