Industry - Energy & Resources - Power & Utilities Practice The Deloitte Consulting, LLP Power & Utilities practice works with senior management in investor and privately-owned electric power generation, electric and gas transmission, distribution and energy transacting companies, as well as investor and privately-owned water and wastewater companies involved in collection, chemical and mechanical treatment, storage, distribution and supply of water to customers. Service Area - Strategy and Operations Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Operations Service Area works with senior management to help make major decisions and implement improvements that dramatically increase the performance of our clients' business by focusing on 'executable strategy' and by integrating industry and functional knowledge in corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, customer relationships, technology, financial management, supply chain, and operations. Service Line - Performance Improvement Deloitte Consulting's Performance Improvement Service Line brings together cross-functional and infrastructure solutions to stimulate operation efficiencies that will affect the bottom line. Job Description: Direct the Performance Improvement activities as part of the Deloitte Consulting Strategy & Operations practice. Provide subject matter expertise based on previous experience with business process analysis, performance management, cost reduction, and other performance improvement activities. Direct and manage the analyses of client operations, business processes, organizational structures, supporting information systems, and leading practices to identify opportunities for improved performance, increased effectiveness and efficiency, and cost reduction within a client organization or business area, and support implementation activities. Manage portions of engagement delivery teams related to specific deliverables and/or work streams. Interact with client personnel and Deloitte senior leadership in the accomplishment of project objectives. - 10+ years in strategy & operations consulting services - Majority of engagement experience focused in the Power & Utilities sector. Utility operational experience in T&D and/or generation. For example: maintenance planning and management; asset planning and management; field work force management; logistics and dispatch; materials management & supply chain; knowledge of relevant technologies - Business development responsibility of at least $1.5mm annually - Significant experience managing & leading complex projects - Responsibility for multiple projects with at least $1mm in revenue for an aggregate of $5+mm annually - Experience with career development and performance management of counselees - Strong communication skills including presentation/proposal generation, as well as an ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within a team and client organization - Bachelor's degree; MBA strongly preferred - Ability to accommodate client travel up to 100% Deloitte & Touche USA LLP and its subsidiaries ('the Deloitte US Firms') are equal opportunity employers.
