Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Responsibilities: This position is accountable for leading a cross-functional team in identifying critical technical issues and problems, and developing and implementing corrective actions for one or more business processes having a business-wide impact. Maximizes program pay back within the program budget, performance and schedule constraints. Directs all planning of and monitors the activities required to meet project goals including completion of deliverables. Utilizes appropriate quality processes to identify critical technical issues and problems, identifies corrective actions, and follows through to completion. Establishes project plans, including projections of required resources (time, cost, personnel, facilities and equipment). Manages within the established performance, schedule and budget constraints. Performs schedule, cost and critical activity tracking against the project plan. Manages the relationship between the project team and all functional areas as well as customer contacts critical to the success of the project. Provides periodic reports of project status and progress to management. Participates in determining the business plan and project priorities, resource needs and budgets based on the strategic direction. Provides input to functional managers for individual performance planning, including goal setting and performance feedback. Conducts lean manufacturing training as necessary.
