Sustaining Electrical Engineer

Due to growth, Johnson Health Tech, NA (Madison, WI) is looking for a Sustaining Electrical Engineer to sustain fitness products for the Horizon, Vision & Matrix brands.  The ideal candidate will be responsible part of the R&D group at our facility in Cottage Grove, WI. 

Requirements:BS in Electrical Engineering 5+ yrs experience required 7+ yrs preferred product design engineering or manufacturing engineering exp. Experience and/or knowledge of embedded control systems Experience in both AC and DC motor drive systems Experience working with overseas manufacturing facilities a plus Familiar with CAD schematic and PCB layout software Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work well with numerous divers groups and individuals Excellent written and verbal communication skills International and domestic travel is required

 

Job Description: Analysis of electronic/electrical problems from product field returns and recommend changes to resolve issues Work with various depts. to implement the changes to resolve issues Build prototypes and or test fixtures to test design changes Responsible for the creation of documentation for design changes and the associated cost analysis for the change Involved in the standards certifications process for UL, CSA, TUV, etc. and understands which standards apply to fitness equipment Keep up to date on the latest electronic technologies and products Responsible for defining technical approaches to projects Works under minimal supervision
