System Test Engineer

Primary Responsibility

As a key contributor in a team environment creating networked device servers and custom solutions, the qualified candidate will be responsible for system testing of hardware and software as it relates to this platform.  The candidate will create and execute system and regression test plans in consultation with product engineering and customer requirements, as well as participate in the creation of test automation plans and frameworks.

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

·  Create and execute test plans

·  Work with engineering department to ensure adequate code and functionality coverage

·  Ensure effective test reporting

·  Automate system and regression testing where possible

·  Support customer service in finding customer reported issues

 

 

Qualifications:

·  B.S. in EE/CS, similar field or equivalent

·  Some experience in the creation and execution of test plans

·  Understanding of testing techniques and concepts including white box testing, black box testing, code coverage, reporting, test automation and scripting

·  Understanding of basic Ethernet/networking concepts 

·  Strong analytical skills and ability to debug and isolate problems

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows

·  Experience with scripting in Linux and/or Windows a plus

·  Understanding of Embedded system platforms a plus

·  Experience with PC hardware a plus

·  Experience with serial communication a plus

·  Experience with industrial automation and industrial networks a plus
