Systems Test Engineer, Sr - QChat

Job Description
QChat System Application Engineer is responsible for integrating, commissioning and supporting QUALCOMM's QChat Push to Talk Technology. The QChat System is an end-to-end solution that enables instant Voice Over IP (VOIP) communication. The Systems Application engineer will perform system integration, commercial deployment, technical support, training, technology trials/demos, and interface with QChat customers/partners.

This position requires hands-on technical work to integrate, implement, deploy and validate the QChat System. This includes working with phone terminals, server hardware, Linux operating systems, and EVDO Rev A 3G Radio Access Networks. You will work closely with engineering development and test teams, product development, project management and the technical teams from QChat partners and customers.

25 - 50% Domestic Travel Required


Skills/Experience
- Four to six years of experience in either Mobile/Wireless Telecomm industry or IT industry is preferred
- Strong interest in gaining knowledge and expertise in the end to end system
- Working knowledge of LINUX/UNIX and data networks is required
- Experience debugging server based application software
- Wireless System Integration, troubleshooting, and testing experience preferred



Additional Skills
- TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SQL
- Knowledge or experience in CDMA/EVDO wireless data
- Experience working with external partners/customers and creating/sustaining relationships

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering preferred.
