TECH SERVICES TECHNICIAN

 

 

ConMed Electrosurgery, a medical device manufacturer & marketer of electrosurgical equipment & disposable products, has an opening for a Tech Services Technician.

 

Description of Duties:

 

The testing, repair, and calibration of medical equipment to meet manufacturing production specifications, AAMI, NFPA, UL, CSA and other criteria for product performance and safety standards.  Provide technical information and assistance to our customers and distributors for the operations and repair of equipment in the field.  This involves extensive phone contact and good troubleshooting skills.

 

Qualifications:

 

·  Associates degree or equivalent training, military or technical school required.

·  Two years of practical experience and general knowledge of Electronics.

·  Able to follow visual and written instructions related to the testing and manufacturing of equipment.

·  Because of extensive phone troubleshooting with Biomed Techs, good communication skills are a must.

·  Able to analyze and troubleshoot analog, digital, RF circuits down to the component level.

·  Able to use a variety of electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscope, DMM's, Frequency counter, RF meters, etc.

·  Good soldering skills required.

·  Able to lift up to 55 lbs. repetitively without assistance.
