Newark is looking for a highly motivated Technical Financial Reporting Analyst II that would provide the Financial Reporting and Analysis areas with the capabilities necessary to meet reporting needs and resolve data issues. This resource is responsible for the maintenance and (wherever possible) upgrade of our existing tools and programs, as well as maintaining an efficient reporting environment. This position is also responsible for all system aspects of moving to a new reporting tool.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This resource will be responsible for supporting the technical reporting needs of the Financial Reporting and Analysis groups. Key deliverables include:
SQL programming to support any and all reporting requirements SQL programming to support ad-hoc requests Working with GBS Business Intelligence programmer to ensure alignment, requirements, and reporting needs of Financial LAN, Cognos, etc. SQL program maintenance and upgrade Report creation and development utilizing Cognos version 8. Data integrity maintenance Migrating existing reporting into a web-based reporting tool. This includes gathering requirements, translating into specifications, and managing their implementation
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related-degree Strong SQL Server/Query skills including related programming experience for 5-7 years. Very proficient in Cognos report development, setting up security, building cubes, etc. Must also have knowledge of previous versions as well as the latest. Significant exposure to all aspects of programming including design, analysis, implementation and testing. Proficient in Excel. Proficient with DTS packages Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be able to speak ?non-technical? dialogue in order to liaise between Financial Analysts and technical requirements. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Great organization abilities. Able to multi-task and work under pressure.
