TECHNICAL SPECIALIST ENGINEER, ANALOG

Newark, a Premier Farnell company, currently has an opportunity available for an Technical Specialist Engineer, Analog in our Cleveland, OH facility. The Specialist will provide specialist level technical expertise and consultation to other members of technical team, product, supplier management in terms of technology advancement, product positioning and supplier focus.

This role strives to provide technical support through all channels for all customers in North America or for Europe.

You will perform the following functions in this key role:
Provide specialist level support to other members of the technical team. Give technical leadership in the assigned technology segment to enable an advanced technical support infrastructure and execute the 2-tiered global technical support strategy. Global coordination of technical support infrastructure for Premier Farnell. Provide specialized technical assistance on specific technology area to customer inquires referred to by other level 1 tech support engineers and sales reps. Support Call Centre & Branch Sales to provide technical consultation to customers for complex technical problems. Develop solutions based selling tools to field sales teams. Develop field technical training courses in the specific technology area. Effectively managing various processes associated with supporting the different sales channels. Identify, recommend and coordinate supplier product training for TSRs & TSEs in specific area of technology. Review and signoff of product data categorization, structure and attributes. Work across all of the sales channels, and effectively supporting our sales teams and customers at a higher technical level.

Job Requirements:
You must possess the following requirements and experience to succeed in this position:
BSEE degree or equivalent. 1-2 years of proven success in a technical and/or sales/marketing role. 3 ? 5 years of hands-on Analog design experience. Strong semiconductor product knowledge and electronics industry experience. Effective oral & written communication skills. Strong collaborator and team player. Excellent organization and prioritization skills. Outstanding system knowledge (PC, BPCS, Siebel, Internet usage). Effectively evaluates activities, performance and functions on the basis of accomplishing objectives. Some overnight travel may be required.
