We also offer competitive pay, employee discounts, and excellent career opportunities.In order to be considered for this position, you must complete an online application.Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerIndependently provides technical and functional management leadership for the Television design and development engineering areas within the Private Label Solutions organization.  Lead role in overseeing the hardware and firmware design/architecture, development and assurance of solutions such as advanced televisions.  Ability to manage external/virtual resources at our partners & suppliers to achieve technical, business and quality objectives is critical.  Individual must understand the technologies and disciplines in the Television product development field and apply industry Best Practices and effective communication to develop solutions to deliver the best customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & PlanningProject and functional engineering lead role in evaluating supplier roadmaps for television products and solutions working closely with our partners.  Create/ specify a set pf standard requirements for product lines across multiple manufacturers that support the appropriate brand tier rationale. Lead role in hardware and firmware strategic technology planning for TV’s including platform strategy recommendations across geographies. Lead role in evangelizing and recommending TB technology roadmap solutions to product Line Management, Customer Domain Teams and Emerging Business Development. Technical Execution / Product DeliverablesProject and functional engineering lead role in evaluating, developing and/or overseeing the hardware and firmware development of TV products and solutions working closely with our partners for development execution.  Technical coordination, schedule creation, risk assessment, mitigation and contingency planning are key job responsibilities. Lead role in ensuring sufficient testing and assurance plans are in place properly executed for TV solutions. Lead role in problem resolution – seem as the primary engineering authority in resolving issues on projects. Basic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in BSEE, BSCE (Electrical Engineering or Computer engineering) or related course of study + 8 years experience 8+ years of Hardware and/or Software design & development experience in TV’ products and solutions6+ years of Project or Engineering Management experience; breadth of experience in functionality (technical, strategic planning, scheduling/budgeting) 4+ years of technology roadmap planning and evangelization experience including facilitation of key stakeholder decision meetingsExperience working with 3rd party TV development and /or manufacturing vendors Preferred Qualifications:Experience with the design /development of flat panel TV  Familiarity with the Flat panel TV manufacturing processMandarin language skills For immediate consideration, click on the “Apply Now” button.
