Currently we have an opening for a Software Development Team Lead to work in our Factory Solutions officein Buffalo Grove, IL.Duties and Responsibilities:Technical Project Leadership?Review software development project work plans including project tasks and descriptions, technical implementation plan, technical resources by task, project schedule and project estimate. ?Ensure a systems development methodology is followed and key components such as design, testing, code reviews, and technical documentation are completed for each project ?Oversee technical implementation of software development projects, either directly or by providing support to another technical manager. ?Participate on projects by developing the technical design, managing the programming effort, assisting with testing, developing technical documentation, conduct technical training, and managing technical implementation tasks. ?Work with project management group in assigning programming resources to software development projects?Act as the lead technical architect for assigned projects. Client End User Relations?Represent the company's core values, core purpose, and envisioned future.?Interaction with internal departments and external clients globally ?Mentor individual development staff ?Excellent communication and presentation skills to various audiencesSupervisory Duties: For direct reports:(1) perform their annual performance review.(2) assist them with career and training planning.(3) manage their day to day workload and set their priority when necessary, and track their assignments to ensure they are productive and challenged at all times. (estimate about 2-3 direct employees). Basic Qualifications:?Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience; ?A Graduate degree (MBA / MS) is preferred?10+ years of experience in the software development area, with at least 4+ years overseeing software development activities both onsite and offshore.?Experience in Object Oriented Programming, design patterns and Service Oriented Architecture a must.?Strong understanding of MS Technologies, and past experience in managing application development using Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, SQL Server, XML, XSL and VC++.?Experience in methodologies such as RUP, Scrum, Agile software development and Test Driven development.?Experience with a broad range of technologies, strategies, products and their application to business services.?Developing real-time applications would be an added advantage?This position would require some travel (10 ? 15%) both domestic and international.Candidates interested in this or any position with Panasonic should register and login at the Panasonic Career Center website below: http://panasonic.com/careersUnder Job ID: 15252We are committed to creating a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer (m/f/d/v).
