Technical Products Manager Laser

Forbes Top 25 Fastest Growing Technology Company are seeking a Technical Product Manager for our Laser Tracker product.  This position will be based in our Kennett Square, PA division. SCOPE: Perform functions to provide technical support and guidance for the development, implementation and enhancement of the assigned product line to fully define, promote and deliver the intended benefits of the product, making decisions controlled by precedent and within the limits of established policies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist in the technical development of the assigned product line, working with domestic and international operations staff. Review and validate problem reports, evaluate enhancement requests and determine appropriateness and priority of requests, based on expectations for user satisfaction and marketability. Determine process and create solutions to suit program and customer requirements. Schedule, monitor and report on the progress of enhancement projects. 2. Convey user and sales feedback to product development including issues related to upgrades, product pricing, technical concepts and overall product vision. 3. Ensure that all elements of the assigned product line’s development and implementation process are in compliance with ISO requirements and standards. 4. Respond to and resolve technical problems arising during development or implementation process, including issues related to technical concepts and overall product vision. 5. Provide technical product guidance to assist in preparing sales staff to effectively communicate product enhancements, value and capabilities and to respond to customer issues and concerns. Provide solutions to specific technical concerns raised by sales staff based on customer requirements and issues. 6. Coordinate and/or participate in the training of sales and applications employees throughout the company in hardware and software product applications. Provide global technical guidance to employees regarding applications. 7. Participate in the development of training materials and product documentation for technical accuracy and consistency. Review customer training surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of current training programs, trainers and methods. Modify programs to enhance methods and ensure compliance with customer requirements 8. Travel to customer sites for high-end demo assistance, trade shows or other company facilities as required.

 

Requirements

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, hardware development tools, business hardware, usual peripherals and common office equipment and the organization’s line of equipment and hardware for the purposes of demonstration. HIRING PREFERENCES: Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 6-7 years of experience including product management
