Technical Support Manager - $75,000 Plus

Our client, a leading international electronics manufacturer in New Jersey, is seeking a Technical Manager to direct the activities of its Technical Support Staff for document imaging machines:  Copiers, facsimile, printers, and multifunction units.Your responsibilities as the Manager will be to oversee the following functions:,,,.Hiring, training and evaluating a staff of from 4 to 6 technical employees....Preparation of Technical Bulletins and Manuals....Telephone and on-line support for dealers and distributors of the product line....Initial Quality Monitoring including identifying, investigating and tracking  performance of newly introduced products.... Preparation of  manuals and technical information to the field service organization in new product launches....Preparation of Product Performance Analysis reports (narrative style) for off-shore factories for continual product improvement...Development and management of department budgets

You must possess excellent written and oral communication skills so that you can interface regularly with top management and present product performance information to improve existing products and develop new ones. This includes meetings with offshore factory personnel.

In addition, you will be responsible for communicating with the Field Sales and Service Organization to help support day to day efforts with technical expertise.

To qualify, you must have:Five (5) plus years experience in customer service or technical management in document imaging, office products (in one or some of these: copiers, laser printers, mfp's, facsimile machines, bar printers, label printers, thermal printers. etc)Proficiency in business analysis, project management and budgeting. Experience in  hiring, training and developing  a competent technical staff. A college business degree with emphasis on Quality Management or Engineering, or equivalent experience.Benefits include medical, life insurance, long term disability, profit sharing and a business expense re-imbursement plan.Our client is a multi-national organization known for its low turnover and stability, high quality products and value pricing.This assignment is a highly visible one with a career path into upper management ranks.Interviews have begun.
