Currently, we have an opening for a Technical Support Technician in our Parsippany, NJ facility.  The responsibilities for this position include:

·  Provide basic technical direction to PNY customers to enable them to effectively utilize PNY products

·  Represent PNY to its customers

·  Research customer problems to resolution and communicate to customer

·  Maintain high level of competency with requirements of new system and product releases

·  Achieve department productivity targets

·  Install, configure, maintain and repair computer systems used within PNY

·  Gather and maintain information and data used for quality reporting

·  Assist in other areas, as assigned

 

 Requirements:

 

·  High school diploma plus technical school for computer/PC or equivalent

·  6-12 months related experience

·  Ability to work in a team environment

·  Demonstrated customer service ability

·  Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in English

·  Knowledge of commercial PC system installation or configuration

·  Ability to distinguish memory and hardware related problems from those caused by improper installation or configuration of software
