Position: Technician – Field Service.

 

Location: San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area.

Work for a leading Scanning Probe Microscope/Atomic Force Microscope manufacture. Our products are the key to Nano technology research and development. We offer diverse product solutions for various market segments including semiconductor, data storage, life sciences, academic and government research.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced and talented individual to fill the role of Technician – Field Service. Reporting to the Applications Manager, this person will be responsible for travel to customer sites to perform preventive maintenance and/or technical service calls. In addition, this person will work closely with the Customer Support engineers to ensure a fully stoked inventory of spare parts and assist with on-going customer related projects.

 

Position Requirements:

  Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or relevant technical training and experience within related field. Knowledge of scanning probe microscopy, atomic force microscopy or relevant knowledge of related products and industry (experience with other technical instrumentation for metrology applications will be considered). Strong technical background; self-starter. Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet goals in correlation with company direction. Work well in both an individual and team environment. Position requires frequent (50-60%) travel within North America.
