Test Engineering Manager

Manage the Test Engineering department. Responsibilities include managing engineers and technicians involved with Test Engineering projects (development of test stations, custom test fixtures, test software, and test documentation), providing direct floor support to Production Test personnel, and interfacing with Engineering and Program Office personnel. Will perform other duties and responsibilities as CTS requires.Identify training/development needs for the test engineering staff via the objective based performance review process. Identify capital equipment requirements, recommend new equipment, and negotiate service contracts. Research new test technologies and equipment. Evaluate to determine fit with existing/future customers and corporate goals. Work with internal and external customers to develop test strategies that meet or exceed their expectations. Identify and work with outside suppliers to ensure fiscal responsibility in the procurement of fixtures, tooling and programming services. Monitor production test activities to recommend improvements for increased efficiency, identify training needs and help resolve throughput issues. Participate in quality initiatives to improve yields. Work with other CTS facilities to coordinate test strategies, equipment evaluations, and manufacturer contacts, etc. Assist in other duties as deemed necessary to meet manufacturing needs.



REQUIREMENTS


Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Business, or Computer Science with 5 to 10 years in Manufacturing / Test Engineering.Comprehensive knowledge of In-Circuit, Functional, and System level test disciplines. Thorough knowledge of electronic test and measurement equipment. Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of UL, IPC and ISO9000 standards.
