About the Opportunity:



We are looking for an experienced Test Operator at our corporate office in Orlando, FL. In this position you will be a part of a team representing Sypris Test & Measurement by technical expertise to meet our customer's requirements. The work environment is fast-paced and high-energy.

 

Position Summary:



Performs duties to set-up and operate test equipment to test electronic products for conformity to specified functional requirements, working within the limits of prescribed routines, methods or procedures.

Essential Functions:

Receive devices or parts scheduled for testing Verify, count and perform visual inspection to ensure compliance with specifications Set up assigned routine elements of tests Unload tested devices or parts from chamber following testing, and package for shipment to customer May load and unload parts on boards for burn-in tests as requested in compliance with test plan Perform repetitive tests with few vibrations and limited setup requirements as prescribed Work from test plans, purchase orders, tables, charts, drawings, lab sheets, standards, specifications and instructions. Set up routine light dynamic tests, and determine pass/fail



 



Requirements:

U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required. High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a test environment. Electronic industry experience preferred. Experience working with hand tools, meters, calipers and force gauges. Must have AC/DC electrical skills Must have soldering skills Ability to effectively handle escalations and time critical issues. Meets goals despite unexpected setbacks, obstacles, or time constraints. Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and is committed to producing accurate and high- quality work. Ability to perform repetitive routines. Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
