TraceTek Product Specialist

Location: US-CA-Silicon Valley/Peninsula Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Experience: 2+ to 5 Years       Job Description   Job Description: Purpose of Job: The opportunity is for a product specialist for sensor cable, probes and electronics instruments for the TraceTek product line including support and documentation of new design projects, coordination with internal and external manufacturing groups, coordination with marketing and marketing communications teams.  The position will also include support of the worldwide TraceTek product management / sales team with occasional additional support for other S2 Division products (specialty heaters, tip clearance and temperature measurement).  Frequent contact with distributors and end users will require occasional travel (less than 10%).  Technical understanding of the product line and applications are essential in order to provide high levels of customer support.  This individual will have many opportunities to act as a customer champion in an inside sales capacity and work directly with distributors and end users to complete detailed bills of material, coordinate shipping dates and work with various internal departments to satisfy customer requirements.  TraceTek is a small team with frequent opportunities to contribute in many areas of the business.  Depending on the talents and interests of the individual there will be opportunities for hands on product prototyping and testing.  The candidate will create written reports and some content for technical documents such as installation instructions and data sheets.  This position reports to the TraceTek Development Manager.Desired Education, Experience, and skills: BA/BS degree in technical or business field, 3 to 5 years of industrial product support and/or industrial marketing experience required.  Working knowledge of industrial distribution, factory representatives and similar sales channels for industrial products is a major plus.  Proven ability to create industrial product data sheets, application notes, installation instructions and similar literature is also positive.  Knowledge of standard MS office applications is assumed; experience with web site management, publishing programs, AutoCAD or similar programs is helpful.  Knowledge and experience with interpretation of industrial plans and specifications is helpful.  The candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize.  Although the primary focus of this position is in the TraceTek Redwood City headquarters, there will be opportunities for support of other business opportunities in the S2 division.  Prior international travel and business experience is a consideration the selection of the successful candidate.     Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco
