Unix Administrator - Associate (Contract)

Job Description
The person in this role will provide system support to engineers working in a global enterprise compute environment, as well as perform traditional sustaining Linux and Solaris system administration tasks.

Responsibilities will include:
-Responding to and resolving support request from users working in a complex UNIX and EDA software environment.
-Diagnosing and troubleshooting both OS and software application runtime issues.
-Work with architects and senior IT engineers to resolve escalated support requests.

-Installation and maintenance of both vendor and open source software.
-Document and communicate infrastructure details both online and directly to users.


Skills/Experience
- 2-5 years administrating Linux or Solaris systems
-Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
-Customer service skills a must.


Additional Skills
Experience with EDA software tools, lmgrd licenses, and open source software will help candidates qualifications.

Education Requirements
Bachelor degree or technical trade school certification preferred, equivalent experience acceptable.
