Upgrade Engineer

SUMMARY

Researches, develops, designs, and tests components, equipment, and systems in the development of Reflow oven & Selective Soldering machine upgrades by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Develop and design basic mechanical and electrical Upgrades kits for VS-US made systems.

 

These kits need to be detailed enough to insure successful field installation by either the customer employees or the VS FSE Team. These kits must include bill of materials, manuals, installation procedures etc.

 

The ability to communicate and organize software changes as required.

 

Develop standard kits for ease of repeat use.

 

Creates and maintains an upgrade global price list

 

Effectively communicate to internal and external customers like global Sales and Support teams.

 

Is part of E-Team

 

Designs equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, and industrial purposes.

 

Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.

 

Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical operations and equations

 REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
