VP, Sales OEM Computing Solutions Experience (Years): 10 Overview: Vice President Sales OEM Computing Solutions (OCS) Arrow Electronics, Inc. Englewood, CO At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Vice President of Sales, OEM Computing Solutions in our Englewood, Colorado location. This position may also be located in Wilmington, MA, Itasca, IL or Santa Clara, CA. Arrow OEM Computing Solutions (OCS), a division of Arrow Electronics, Inc., provides worldwide design and engineering services, manufacturing systems integration to industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and intellectual property based companies. OCS is a 170+ person organization within Arrow's North American Components group. OCS offers customers end to end support through every phase of the computer product lifecycle including concept design, engineering services, materials procurement, product lifecycle management, integration, assembly, testing, packaging, global order fulfillment, billing, technical support, warranty services, and depot repair. This includes a wide variety of embedded computing solutions, embedded operating systems, mass storage units, peripherals, and flat panel display products. OCS serves vertical markets including, but not limited to, Medical, Industrial Automation, Telecom, Digital Imaging and others to customers in North America, Mexico, China and Europe. OCS is a $400 million business with the potential to grow to 1 billion by 2010. Reporting Relationship and Responsibilities The Vice President Sales, OCS reports directly to the VP & General Manager of OCS. The VP Sales is responsible for advancing and implementing the company's vision and strategic plan for the sales of OEM Computer Products in North America. Key challenges include driving the global sales strategy that delivers sales projections of $400 million for 2008 with a long -term focus on growing the business to 1 billion by 2010. Arrow seeks an executive for this role with proven experience to lead the expansion of their end user business. The VP Sales, OCS will have overall responsibility for day-to-day leadership and coordination of the sales team, concentrating mainly on sales, supplier relationships, key customers and strategic development of new opportunities and driving the OCS organization toward a solutions selling organization for system and board level computer products globally. Key to success will be the ability to relate to and interact on a regular basis with the senior level of management at both their customers and suppliers. The person must leverage strong supplier relationships to drive strategic programs. Attracting, retaining and developing talent is a critical component. This person must be committed to and comfortable with leading change while recognizing the balance between the unique needs of our suppliers and the operational efficiency needing to occur across various Arrow selling groups. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: · Manage business operations and sales management processes. · Assess and build territories in accordance with market and other business considerations to ensure proper staffing, maximum account penetration and resource utilization. · Provide direction to area and regional management to ensure the attainment of sales, market share, profit, as well as all Arrow initiatives. · Ensure collaboration between OCS and the Arrow Electronics Components organization in an effort to broaden the sales of OCS products into the AEC customer base. · Lead, coach, and mentor the management team to achieve goals. · Attract, retain, and develop employees to fuel the talent pipeline. · Develop and maintain influential internal and external customer and supplier relationships. · Conduct business and technology reviews with local management and sales force to identify opportunities and trends. · Negotiate comprehensive customer engagements and deals. Qualifications: · 20+ years professional experience · A minimum of 10+ years of Sales Management and P&L experience within multi-state and global environments. · Leadership experience in business growth and development, with responsibility for strategic planning, proposal development, and customer/account management. · Documented history of profitable business building with considerable experience and success in sales and sales leadership. · Strong financial acumen is required. · Previous OEM customer sales and solution selling experience is a preferred. · Proven knowledge of advanced supply chain initiatives and concepts. · Experience in end-to-end product development in a computer product (systems and board level, in an integration and electronic component environment. · Successful track record establishing strategy and leading employees to get results. · Capable of establishing new contacts to acquire new customers in established and new markets. · Ability to work in a fast paced environment, strong analytical and interpersonal skills including the ability to build influential relationships. · Results-oriented with proven track record in sales performance. · Experience in the computer products industry preferred. · Extensive travel required 70% - 80%.
