VP Sales - Power Electronics

The company has more than 1,900 employees with offices in 25 countries and sales to more than 100 countries and is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of DC backup systems for telecommunications, industrial, and enterprise OEM markets.
We are seeking an experienced sales professional as our VP Sales having responsibility for leading our internal sales organization. This position has overall responsibility for day-to-day leadership and coordination of the sales team, concentrating mainly on sales, key customers and strategic development of new opportunities and new markets for our products. Additional responsibilities and duties include:Coordinate, communicate, execute and manage a sales strategy that achieves substantial acquisition of customers, while expanding and converting sales within existing customer base. Develop annual sales plans in support of organizational strategy and objectives.Forecast sales and assign quota responsibilities to regional directors; responsible for achieving or exceeding assigned revenue quotas; interface closely with sales teams across NA in order to drive business and generate revenue.Partner with Marketing, Product Management and other functional areas by providing market analysis and feedback to functions concerning market direction, customer needs, product requirements and business opportunities;Manage the development and administration of sales compensation plans and targets for the team, with support from Finance and Human Resources.Lead, coach, and mentor the sales management team to achieve goals. Negotiate comprehensive customer engagements and deals.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent and 10+ years experience in technology sales, including 5 or more years managing a diverse sales team. Leadership experience in business growth and development, with responsibility for strategic planning, forecasting, proposal development, and customer/account management. Documented history of profitable business growth and sales revenue attainment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts. Ability to travel extensively, both domestic and internationally.
