Vehicle Electronics Engineer

Altair Engineering is seeking a Vehicle Electronics Manager for a permanent position with one of our customers located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

 

Position  will take a leading role in the Electrical Engineering group.

 

Required Skills and Work Experience:

 

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science

· Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering product development

· Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time

· Electrical Degree preferred

· Demonstrated experience in Vehicular Systems Engineering

· Minimum  5 years experience managing technical professionals.

· Advanced degree in Engineering

· Significant experience in electronic product design and development with hardware and software elements

· Able to interface effectively with and develop relationships with internal and external customers/suppliers

· Behavior that demonstrates professionalism and an ownership mind set

· Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

· Demonstrated experience in project management including software development time and resource budgeting

· Skilled in building and developing effective teams

· Demonstrated experience in the use of Quality tools

· Demonstrated experience working in and leading others in a global (multi-site) engineering environment

· Skilled in timely decision making and conflict management

· Demonstrated ability to conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, develop strategic plans
