Kodak.com is looking for a skilled Web Visual Designer with a passion for creating elegant and engaging design solutions that will showcase our entire award winning consumer and commercial product portfolio and that will bring corporate sponsorship and brand activation efforts to life online. The Web Designer will work in a highly collaborative environment with a cross-functional team that includes business partners, agencies, vendors, and kodak.com marketing/relationship management and technical resources. Create visually engaging designs - prototypes, user-interfaces, websites, and marketing assets, for online solutions based on a user centered design process. Establish tone, color palette, and typography. Develop assets for client presentation, along with documented rationale for design decisions. Work within style-guide specifications as needed to create consistent user experiences. Partner with key stakeholders to ensure designs and the overall customer experience reflects the positioning that the business has defined. Effectively create, prepare and optimize images for the web. Produce image and page design templates and guidelines. Design, and build multimedia expereiences based on client requirements and best practices. Contribute to the technical development of websites. Optimize page design for browser and platform compatibility issues. Communicate on technical issues with web developers. Produce workflow documents, user interaction wireframes and visual design mockups. Required Skills/Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience as a web designer. Passionate about design with a strong understanding of designing for the web. Solid foundation of fundamental design principles (conceptualization, typography, color theory, composition, etc.) Understanding of usability/accessibility issues and user centered design principles. Expert use of Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML, CSS and XML. Strong teamwork capabilities; ability to foster cooperation between and within groups to accomplish group objectives. Self-starter with a strong work ethic, sense of urgency and can-do mindset. Demonstrates personal drive and motivation; enthusiastic and passionate in the desire to achieve the expected results. Capable of taking direction as well as working independently. Comfortable working with changing requirements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to facilitate an open exchange of ideas with customers, peers, team members, and management. Expresses facts and ideas, both written and oral, in a clear, convincing, and organized manner. Multi-tasker that thrives in a fast paced environment. Interested and engaged with emerging trends of digital imaging and communication. Applicants will be expected to present a portfolio of work. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience designing e-Commerce websites. Familiar with the issues involved in creation and maintenance of global, multilingual websites. Experience with Flash ActionScripting. Masters degree of Fine Arts
