Wafer Equipment Maintenance Technician

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Perform preventive maintenance on equipment used to fabricate Thin Film Tape Head (TFTH) wafers in a cleanroom environment. -Perform electrical and/or mechanical upgrades and trouble shooting on TFTH wafer equipment in a cleanroom environment. -Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to blue prints, schematics, operating/maintenance manuals and verbal explanations. Use test and diagnostic equipment to verify functionality of equipment. -Perform Equipment shutdowns and be able to start equipment up after power loss to equipment. -Can troubleshoot equipment problems down to component/subassemblies level and correct the issues. -Uses office software tools (e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing) and the maintenance equipment tracking system to convey equipment status and document corrective actions to internal customers and peers. -Perform repairs, rebuilds and refurbishing of sub-components that are stock as spares for the equipment used in Wafer Fabrication in the cleanroom. -Maintain/order spare inventory (sub-components) and maintain maintenance documentation for equipment assigned to the technician. May be required to work overtime or alternate work schedules as business needs require. Requires wearing cleanroom uniforms, personal protective equipment as needed. Requires working around hazardous chemicals, gases, electricity, R/F power and constant noise levels are present from equipment and facility ventilation. Work Environment: Class 100 cleanroom environment.
