Wind Power Commissioning Technician

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAll contracted workers: Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions i.e. 20 F below to 120 F above with high winds, blowing dust and or snow.Must be able to climb towers up to 300’ in height, two to four times daily.Must be able to work in confined spaces. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Commissioning Technician   ·  Travels to various projects as requested to perform commissioning activities. ·  Trouble shoots complicated anomalies within wind turbine generator systems. ·  Acts as a role model within a field environment to ensure all procedures are followed as required. ·  Able to work up to seventy (70) hours per week if needed to meet project schedules. ·  Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work instructions, work orders and reports in order to determine material requirements and proper assembly procedures.·  Position, align, and adjust component parts to facilitate assembly.·  Travel up to six (6) weeks at a time followed by four (4) days off for rest and relaxation.·  Must complete any and all required daily paperwork related to the work performed at the project site.
