APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST

All applicants must have a minimum of 3 years IT Industry experience in order to apply.  No 3rd party resumes accepted. Location: Downtown Houston, TX Position Title: Application Support Analyst Assignment Duration: 6 months - may be extended Project Description:Provides baseline and technical support services (support for the Exploration, Production, Drilling, Reservoir Management applications and environment). This position is with the Technical Computing Department, Applications Unit.  Job Responsibilities: Support provided: Global support for Petrotechnical Applications (primarily Paradigm, Landmark OpenWorks, and major vendor applications frameworks). Software Administration, License management and administration, and Application Environment Support - primary focus will be on application release and delivery, license management, and also problem resolution, workflow consultation, training, and knowledge management. Will work closely with other teams within the Technical Computing organization, ETC and ITC, and the Global Upstream organization. Experience in petrotechnical application workflow, software development and application delivery methodologies are important.  Skills Required: Unix/Linux, Microsoft XP/Vista. Also required: clear, concise communication skills, excellent customer relationships, business analysis and change management skills, and ability to work with a variety of organizational levels.  Desired Skills: Scripting (i.e. Perl), Windows 2003 Server, License Mgmt, FlexLM, experience with Petrotechnical applications such as Paradigm and Landmark OpenWorks.
